A man has died following a crash in Aberdeenshire this morning.
Police and ambulance teams were called to the scene of the crash, on an unnamed road close to Catterline, shortly after 8.20am.
The 72 year old man, who police have named as Harold Waterworth, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the incident, which resulted in his heavy goods vehicle going off the road and ending up in a garden.
Police have confirmed that the man, who is from the Arbroath area, has died.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that the driver of a lorry which was on the unclassified road to Catterline this morning has died.
“The 72-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he sadly died.”
