Police have appealed to the public to help trace John Green, aged 43, who has been reported missing from the Ballater area.
He was last seen in Ballater at around 8pm on Tuesday.
Mr Green is described as 6ft 2″ tall, athletic build with short brown hair and blue eyes.
He speaks with a north- east England accent and when he was last seen he was wearing dark grey walking trousers, a dark grey jumper, walking boots and either a dark coloured or orange jacket.
He is also in possession of a rucksack and has a tattoo of the starsign ‘Aries’ on the nape of his neck.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
