A man has been fined for threatening to kill his former partner on Christmas Day.
Danny Lockren appeared from custody at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted acting in a threatening and abusive manner on Friday after drinking a mixture of spirits.
The court heard Lockren had turned up at Maria Stout’s house in the evening where he sat drinking vodka and whisky with her and some of her friends.
But the 47-year-old, of Flat A, 28 Logie Avenue, Aberdeen, became increasingly aggressive towards her and started to shout and swear.
And at one point he shouted “I am going to kill you before the end of the night”.
Fiscal depute David Bernard said this scared Ms Stout and she was taken to her sons house after she called the police.
Defence agent Bob Anderson said Lockren had little memory of what happened that evening.
He said his client had remembered leaving the property and was aware people were not happy with him.
He said he felt he had “blotted his copy book” but was unsure why.
The next morning police found him asleep, fully clothed, in his house and arrested him for the threatening and abusive behaviour.
He spent the rest of the weekend in police custody. Sheriff Annella Cowan him £250.
