The call was made at 5.55pm after the boat was recovered near Grandholm Bridge. A police spokeswoman said: “There have been no reports of being anyone in the river we are just looking to cover all bases.” Update: The coastguard has now stood down. An RNLI spokesman said: “The kayaker was found safe and well after a Social Media appeal from Police Scotland. “The crew of the Bon Accord returned safely to base.”
