Two appliances are on the scene in Ballater, and Braemar mountain rescue are on the way to assist. A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “We are evacuating residents in Ballater. “ The forestry unit is in use to help evacuate people.” It is not yet known how many residents are being evacuated or which streets are affected.
