Power has now been restored to most homes Ballater which were cut off during the flooding yesterday.
More than 100 engineers from Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution have been sent to the village which was badly affected by Storm Frank.
They hope to restore the remaining homes without power by 8pm tonight but properties made unsafe by water will have to be assessed before they can be connected to the mains network.
People whose homes have been flooded are asked to contact the engineering service centre on 0800 300 999 and quote their address.
