Flood Warning’s remain in place in some parts of north-east

Flood warnings in place for Maryculter and further along the River Dee into Aberdeen City are no longer in force.
SEPA warned however that there are still risks of flooding in Kintore, Inverurie and Ballater, and official Flood Warnings remain in place.
Further rain is expected during today, falling as snow at times above 350-400 metres.
Following the persistent and at times heavy rainfall of the preceding days, be aware of the risk of ongoing disruption from surface water flooding and to a lesser extent river flooding, as well as some disruption to transport.
This is an update to the Alert issued on Sunday, to extend the area into Fife for localised surface water flooding and also to extend the warning throughout Tuesday.
The slow moving frontal zone that continues to produce large rainfall totals will weaken later on Tuesday with rain (also hill snow) gradually becoming lighter. However, a further 10-20 mm of rain, locally 30 mm in the south of the warning area, is possible during the day.
There are currently 28 Flood Warning’s in effect across Scotland.
