SEPA has issued a red flood warning for the River Dee in Aberdeen.
The warning has been issued for land around the Dee from Garthdee to the harbour, and it is expected that nearby businesses and homes will be at risk of flooding.
A SEPA spokesman has urged the public to remain vigilant as the water levels rise this evening.
A SEPA statement read: “From early Thursday evening, there is a risk of flooding to low lying areas adjacent to the River Dee including Riverside Drive, industrial and commercial properties and infrastructure in the Garthdee area.
“There may also be a risk to nearby residences and the retail park. Levels are expected to be higher than those experienced on the 4th of January but not as high as those on the 30th of December 2015.”
