Fyvie crash biker named as Banff man

The motorcyclist killed in a four-vehicle smash on a notorious north-east road has been named by police as 24-year-old Craig Baxter.

The former Banff Academy pupil died in a rush-hour collision with three other vehicles on Thursday morning.

It happened on the A947 Aberdeen to Banff route, near Fyvie, just after 8am.

Friends of Mr Baxter have taken to social networking sites to pay tribute.
