Motorists urged to “drive with caution” in wake of flooding

Roads remained badly affected by last week’s flooding yesterday with motorists urged to “drive with caution” by police.
The A93 North Deeside Road remains closed at Invercauld Bridge as work continues to repair the structure following flood damage.
The B976 South Deeside Road is also closed between Dinnet Bridge and Aboyne Bridge.
The route is also closed between Ballater’s Bridge Street junction and the B9158 Dinnet road junction for emergency repairs.
Westhill Road was also closed yesterday, as was the A947 Fyvie to Turriff road at Fyvie Station due to flooding and the B993 between Inverurie and Whiterashes.
In Aberdeen, Mealmarket Street at the junction with West North Street was also shut.
The B979 Culter to Westhill road is closed and the B9170 Oldmeldrum to Methlick route at its junction with Oldmeldrum roundabout is passable with care.
Also passable was the A96 Inverurie to Huntly road from Pitmachie to the Oyne fork and the B9119 Tarland to Westhill road at Leys.
Elsewhere the B974 Banchory to Fettercairn road was closed due to snow.
