Kemnay’s Alehousewells School and its nursery are closed. Sandhaven School is closed to pupils because the power is out. Kirkhill School in Aberdeen is closed. Kintore School is open for village and the majority of children. Only the Balbithan bus run (Martha’s) is unable to operate. Any family rehoused through flooding who are having difficulty getting the children to school should contact the council as soon as possible. Transport to Ellon Academy, Inverurie Academy, St Cyrus School, Kintore School and Hatton Fintray School has been effected. The Meiklemill footbridge, which crosses the River Ythan in Ellon is closed to all members of the public today.
