A lifeboat has been sent up-river to Riverside Drive, Aberdeen, after reports of the vehicle in the water were made. Police said that no one was in the vehicle, which entered the water in late December. The driver was traced when the car was first brought to their attention, but the vehicle was re-reported at around 8.45am today, prompting the search. A spokesman for the coastguard said: “Aberdeen inshore lifeboat and a coastguard team are there along with the police.” Crews have been stood down after safety concerns.
