The casualty was rescued from the vessel Flourish about 86 miles north-east of Wick and flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. His condition is currently unknown. The coastguard was notified just before 7am about the medical emergency. He was collected by the Sumburgh-based coastguard helicopter Rescue 900 and was flown to Aberdeen Airport, arriving at about 10.25am. He has since been taken by ambulance to the hospital.
