The forecaster issued a yellow ‘be aware’ warning for ice across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. The warning is in force until 1pm today. A Met office statement said: “Many surfaces are already below freezing with an associated risk of icy patches, lasting well into Thursday. “In addition, some wintry showers will continue, particularly in the north and northwest, with some slight accumulations of snow in places. “Please be aware of the potential for difficult travel conditions.” Meanwhile a yellow wind warning is also in effect.
