An Aberdeen man has been fined for resisting arrest after leading police on an early morning chase through the city’s streets.
Officers were called to a disturbance on Rona Place in the Sheddocksley area of the city.
When they arrived at around 6am they found 18-year-old William Robertson having a heated argument with his girlfriend.
On seeing the police car, the pair fled in the direction of Rona Avenue before splitting up.
Robertson, an apprentice electrical engineer of 20 Springhill Crescent, was then caught on Jura Place and struggled with the officer as the latter attempted to handcuff him.
Sheriff Hall fined Robertson £200 when he appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
