Students from a north-east university are raising funds to secure a spot at a major event for emerging designers.
Gray’s White Sharks, a group of fourth year communication design students at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, are attempting to raise £6,000 for three stands at the D&AD New Blood Festival in Shoreditch, London.
Having already raised £1,200, the students are required to pay £3,000 at the end of January and a further £3,000 for April.
The students are planning a number of fundraising events including a Valentine’s stall, movie night and a communication design course tea and chat.
Student Xanthe Bodington, 22, said: “Exhibiting or work in London would not only help us showcase our work in situ, but it is also a great opportunity to try and help securing a job after graduation.”
