Police have launched an investigation into a fire on a car transporter in Aberdeen in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crewmen were called to Canal Road at 2.55am and three appliances were sent to the scene – two from the central station and a third from North Anderson Drive.
There were no injuries as a result but the car transporter and vehicles it was carrying were badly damaged.
Police Scotland Detective Inspector, Lee Jardine, said: “We are carrying out inquiries along with the fire service to establish the cause of the blaze and are appealing for anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area at the time to get in touch with us.
“Investigations are at an early stage however we are treating this incident as suspicious”
