Flood alert in place for Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire
ByReporter
A Flood Alert has been issued by SEPA for Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City.
Rivers in southern Aberdeenshire have responded to rainfall overnight and some melting snow due to rising temperatures.
A SEPA statement said: “Levels are expected to be much lower than those experienced earlier this year. Some localised river flooding to low lying land and roads and surface water flooding issues are possible leading to potential travel disruption and ponding of water in known trouble spots. Further updates will appear here if the situation changes.
Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property. Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188. This FLOOD ALERT is now in force until further notice”
