VIDEO: Drone footage of Aberdeen beach shows calm after the storm

This video uploaded to YouTube by site user masonallerby shows some of the debris washed ashore after the recent widespread flooding across the north-east.

In the footage a harbour marker buoy which normally floats well out sea can be seen where it came to rest, right up at the sea wall.

The buoy has now been moved but much debris remains on the beach.

Groups have already started taking to the shore in a bid to restore the beach to its usual beautiful self and on January 30 a huge clean up has been organised by environmentalists, working in conjunction with Aberdeen City Council.
