Ian Walker, of Dundee, was fatally injured while employed at the site of the new Third Don Crossing in the Danestone area of the city. The tragedy happened on Fairview Street, where a road is being built to connect to the new bridge over the River Don. Two ambulance crews were called out to the scene shortly after the 58-year-old was injured at around 4:45pm on January 13. However Mr Walker, who worked for Balfour Beatty, sadly died at the scene. He leaves behind a wife, daughter and two sons. His funeral will take place on Monday at Dundee Crematorium.
