The incident happened just before 12 noon today on the A90 between Peterhead and Boddam and involved a Nissan Micra and a white Renault lorry. A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed that the road has been closed in both directions. Ambulance crews are on the scene. She said: “The road is closed in both directions but there doesn’t appear to be any serious injuries.” Two Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliances, both from Peterhead, are also in attendance. Traffic headng south is meanwhile at a standstill on the A982 South Road at the roundabout between McDonald’s and Meethill Road. A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We have assisted the ambulance service in taking a woman out of her car.”
