A plane flying from Birmingham to Aberdeen was forced to land in Manchester yesterday after a “suspected technical fault”.
The Flybe flight BE326 took to the air at about 4.45pm, but quickly had to land in Manchester at around 5pm.
The plane is thought to have about 54 people onboard.
A Flybe spokeswoman said: “Flybe can confirm that the above flight diverted to Manchester as a precautionary measure following a suspected technical fault with the aircraft.
“The aircraft landed safely without incident and taxied to stand as normal.
“The safety of its passengers and crew is the airline’s number one priority and the airline apologises for any inconvenience experienced.”
