(Picture: Kevin Emslie) Union Terrace Gardens has been closed ahead of Aberdeen’s Spectra festival. The stairways to the lower area of the gardens are now sealed off to allow art installations to be put in place. The closure will remain in place till Monday. The gates opposite His Majesty Theatre will also be shut until Wednesday. Signage will be displayed on entrance points and other key areas within the park, and a letter has been sent to residents in the local area. The four-day event will launch on Thursday at 6.30pm with a special live performance in Union Terrace Gardens.
