Police have named a man killed on the A96 at Tyrebagger on February 5.
Robert Thomson, 87, from Aberdeen died after the collision which happened at approximately 7:10pm and involved a blue Hyundai i10 car and a red Mini Cooper.
Sergeant Rob Warnock, from the North East Division Road Policing Unit, said: “My thoughts are with Mr Thomson’s friends and family at this difficult time.
“I am appealing for any witness who may have seen this collision or anything that preceded it to contact Police Scotland on 101.
“I am particularly looking to trace a lorry driver that was travelling towards Aberdeen at the time of the incident and any other vehicles travelling west towards Blackburn, or who may have turned off onto the B979 towards Kirkton of Skene.”
