Woman taken to hospital following crash on north-east road

Emergency services have been called to the B999 Whitecairns to Tarves road following a car crash earlier this evening.

The call was made just after 6pm and it is understood that a red Vauxhall Corsa has gone off the road.

It is unclear at this stage whether there are any injuries.

Update: A police spokesman said: “A female has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following this but her injuries are not believed to be serious.”

The incident took place around half a mile outside of Whitecairns.
