A man and a woman have been charged with public indecency after the were allegedly caught having sex in the street on New Year’s Day.
Prosecutors claim Fay Marie Urquhart and Ross Sanders had sex in “full view” of members of the public while on Belmont Street on January 1.
Urquhart, who is also known as Keltie, denies the allegation.
The case against Sanders, 27, of Gellan, Strachan, was continued without plea yesterday at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
Urquhart, of Flat B, 260 King Street, Aberdeen, is also facing three more charges which are also alleged to have been committed on the same day.
Court papers state the 38-year-old behaved in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting and swearing. She is also alleged to have hindered her arrest by struggling with officers on Belmont street, tensing her arms and body.
Urquhart is also accused of assaulting Constable Naomi Anderson, a police officer, by uttering threats of violence, throwing bank cards and by attempting to kick and spit at her. It is also claimed she nipped and scratched the officer.
Urquhart denies all the charges against her and will go on trial later this year.
