A 36-year-old man has been charged with a driving offence after a video went viral showing a motorist with their windscreen blanketed in snow.
The dark-coloured Nissan Qashqui was filmed driving eastwards on the B9119 near Westhill last Monday at approximately 7.45am.
Roads policing inspector Jon Barron reminded people to drive safely in wintry conditions: “As we enter another cold spell, I would like to remind drivers that it is vitally important that they and their vehicles are fully prepared before starting a journey in poor weather.
“Before setting off, motorists must be able to see [where they are going], so clear all snow and ice from windows.
“Drivers must ensure that lights are clean and number plates are clearly visible and legible and also make sure their mirrors are clear and their windows are demisted thoroughly.
“Also, any snow that might fall off into the path of other road users should be removed before driving.”
