Police have released CCTV as inquiries continue into a serious assault at Union Terrace Gardens, Aberdeen.
The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, January, 28, and police are appealing to the person in the CCTV image or anyone who recognises them to come forward as they may be able to assist officers with enquiries.
The investigation into the incident is being carried out by a team of specialist-trained officers from Police Scotland’s National Units, supported by local officers.
Detective Inspector Sheila McDerment, said: “We have a number of lines of enquiry which we are following up. We are releasing this CCTV in the hope that someone may recognise the person or themselves and get in touch.
“We would still like to encourage anyone who was in the area of Union Terrace Gardens between 3am and 4am on Thursday 28 January, who may have seen something of concern, to contact us.
“It may be that someone out there has information which could help identify the person responsible.
“We would encourage anyone with information to contact the enquiry team via Police Scotland on 101 or to report it anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
