Tools stolen in north-east town worth thousands found by police

Police have recovered around £3,000 worth of electrical equipment and power tools allegedly stolen from a vehicle in the Fraserburgh area.
Officers uncovered the equipment on Tuesday (February 23, 2016), which they have been able to return to the owner.
A 30-year-old man from the Liverpool area has been charged in connection with the incident.
PC Richard Cooper from the North Aberdeenshire Pro-Active department said: “As a result of public assistance Police have been able to recover items worth thousands of pounds.
“I would like to thank the Fraserburgh public for their continued support following various thefts in the area over the past few weeks.
“Police Scotland continue to have the safety of the local community at the highest priority and urge the public to contact us with any information relating to suspicious behaviour or unordinary activity in their area.
