Three drivers have been caught driving at more than 100mph in the north-east this week.
Police confirmed a number of motorists had been reported for driving at “grossly excessive speeds”, putting themselves and others at risk.
On Sunday, a 29-year-old man was stopped after driving at 102mph on the A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road.
The following day, a 33-year-old man was clocked doing 114mph on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness, near Huntly, while a 19-year-old man was caught doing 115mph on the A947 Aberdeen to Banff road at Turriff.
Two other men, aged 22 and 25, have also been recorded driving at more than 70mph on the busy North Anderson Drive in Aberdeen.
Inspector Jon Barron, of the roads policing unit, said: “Despite repeated pleas, it simply beggars belief that officers still have to deal with motorists like these examples who are clearly willing to put themselves in obvious danger.
“More importantly, not only are they risking their own lives, they are also endangering anyone else who happens to be using these roads, across the north-east.
All the drivers have been reported to the procurator fiscal.
