An eight-year-old Aberdeen boy celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as his favourite fictional character, Oor Wullie.
Finlay Mackenzie, a pupil at Bramble Brae Primary, is also a big Dons supporter and travelled down to Dundee with his dad, Fraser, to watch Aberdeen continue their SPFL challenge with a 1-0 win over Dundee United on Wednesday night.
While he was there, he sat on a bucket reading an Oor Wulie book outside the offices of DC Thomson, the company which introduced the little spiky-haired lad to the world back in March 1936.
Then, on Thursday morning, Finlay headed off to school wearing the character’s trademark dungarees.
His father said: “He loves reading the Oor Wullie stories and thinks World Book Day is a great idea”.
