Police are looking for witnesses after a series of break-ins and attempted break-ins to care homes in Aberdeenshire.
The incidents happened in Fraserburgh, Sandhaven and Rosehearty overnight between Sunday March 6 and Monday March 7.
As a result a low two figure sum of cash was stolen plus bottles of alcohol.
Investigating officer PC Cooper of the North East Division CID Proactive Unit said: “These are unpleasant crimes but I would like to reassure the public that they are a rare occurrence within our communities. We are treating the incidents as linked and I would urge anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
“In addition I would also take this opportunity to remind all residents in the community to take every precaution to prevent themselves becoming a victim of crime. This includes securing your property and ensuring that all doors and windows are locked to prevent similar offences occurring in the future.”
