Police Scotland is appealing for information following the theft of two quad bikes from a garage at Westhill.
The Yamaha Banshee bikes – one blue/white/black and the other teal/white – were taken from a property in the Parkside area between noon and 10.30pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
Quad bike gear – including clothing, fuel and an engine – were also taken, valued at a high three-figure sum.
PC Rob Graham said: “This was a despicable crime in which thieves forced their way into a garage to steal the quad bikes and gear from inside.
“We believe a long wheel base van was used to remove the stolen vehicles and goods, and I would urge anyone who saw a van matching this description in the area to contact the force.
“I would also ask anyone who was travelling on the A944 that day and saw anything suspicious to contact officers urgently. Any drivers using the road would have had a view of the garage and van, and may hold vital information.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
