Police are investigating after two women were assaulted in separate attacks as they made their way home from a night out in Aberdeen.
The assaults – which police believe were carried out by the same man – took place just before 3am on Sunday, in the Hardgate and Fonthill areas.
The culprit is described as being in his 20s, of slim build and 5ft 6in. He was wearing a black puffa style jacket, black trousers and shoes, and a black beanie hat.
Neither of the women were injured.
Detective Sergeant Mike Reynolds, who is leading the investigation, urged anyone who was in the nearby area to get in touch.
He said: “We have conducted a number of inquiries, including viewing a significant number of hours of CCTV footage from the city centre and surrounding areas.
“I am particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was in the area of Langstane Place, Hardgate or Fonthill Avenue between the hours of 2am and 3.40am on the morning of Sunday, March 13, who believes they may have seen this male or anything suspicious between these times.”
Last night local councillor Ross Thomson urged anyone with information about the “appalling” incident to contact the police.
Anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
