A north-east chipper has won a leading award at a prestigious ceremony celebrating the best of Grampian’s food and drink.
The Bay Fish & Chips in Stonehaven was crowned “most successful product” at the Grampian Food Forum Innovation Awards 2016 at the Mercure Ardoe House Hotel.
Calum Richardson, the owner of the popular takeaway, said he was delighted the shop was recognised at the awards.
He added: “We have had a phenomenal year with the production of our batter.
“It has opened up doors to different sectors, business collaborations and opportunities that we only ever dreamt about before.”
Now in its 26th year, the Grampiwards celebrate excellence and innovation in food and drink in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray.
