Police are appealing for information after thieves stole mountain bikes in Aberdeen worth thousands of pounds.
A series of break-ins occurred in the Strathmore Drive area of Aberdeen on Sunday, March 28, between 5am and 9.40am.
A high four-figure sum’s worth of bikes and biking equipment – including helmets, wheels, gears and tools – were taken from one property alone, while other outbuildings in the street were also targeted.
Constable Norman McGlashan, who is leading the investigation, is urging the public to look out for two mountain bikes with distinct features.
One is a Cube AMS 150 Pro mountain bike, graphite grey in colour with a luminous green finish. It has luminous yellow handlebars and the wheels both have a distinctive purple finish.
The other is a Boardman mountain bike with a white frame, blue finish and blue front suspension.
PC McGlashan added: “I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who has information about these thefts to contact the force as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
