A north-east nurse could be struck off this month for behaving in a racist manner.
Claire Main was convicted at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on May 29 last year of two charges of acting in a racially aggravated manner with intent to cause distress or alarm.
Now the Nursing and Midwifery Council will consider if her fitness to practice has been impaired.
At a hearing scheduled to take place in Edinburgh on April 22, the watchdog will consider if she should be removed from the official register.
Main, of 30 Burnland Crescent, Elrick, Westhill, was first registered as a nurse in March 2001 for the Grampian region.
She declined to comment on her upcoming case when approached by the Press and Journal last night.
