Nicola Williamson ordered 196 handsets from Vodafone during the course of her employment at Aberdeen City Council. She then sold them all on to Mazuma Mobile Ltd from her home in West Cairncry Road and pocketed the cash. Yesterday the 47-year-old appeared at the city’s sheriff court and admitted committing the fraud between June 15, 2012 and December 11, 2013. Representing Williamson, now a prisoner in HMP Grampian, solicitor Mike Monro said it was an “unusual case”. Sheriff Annella Cowan deferred sentence until May 6 for background reports to be carried out.
