Curious onlookers who have been crowding round a construction project in the city centre will soon find out what’s being built this week.
This year’s Look Again Visual Art and Design Festival will kick off at the end of this month, and the centrepiece of the city-wide event will be the “Mirrored Pavillion” in the Castlegate which is being unveiled this Friday.
Designed by architecture students from Robert Gordon University, the reflective installation will also act as a headquarters for the festival, and will be staffed with helpful volunteers who can direct art fans to pieces and displays hidden around the Granite City.
Dozens of monuments, landmarks and other public spaces will be given a quirky makeover for the festival, which will take place between April 28 and May 2.
The “Mirrored Pavillion” will also serve as a hub for the Festival of Architecture which is running throughout April.
