Sport Aberdeen has insisted it will work to ensure the final Dons home game this season has no impact on the Baker Hughes 10k run going ahead on the same day.
Following the announcement of the SPFL split fixtures, Aberdeen FC will be playing Ross County at Pittodrie on Sunday, May 15 at 12.30pm.
A spokesman for Sport Aberdeen has urged people heading to both events to check its website beforehand for road closures.
He said: “There is always potential for a home game for Aberdeen Football Club to land on the day of the Baker Hughes 10k.
“The plans for the event take this into account.
“This will have no impact on the race and we are working with Aberdeen City Council, the police and Aberdeen Football Club to ensure that both events run smoothly.
“Details of planned road closures are published each year on our website.
“In order to ensure the day is a success for runners, spectators and football fans alike, we would encourage everyone to review this before heading out.”
