An emergency has been declared on a passenger plane heading to Aberdeen Airport.

The Eastern Airways flight from Norwich was due to land in Aberdeen at 15.20 but the alarm was raised as the plane passed over the border.

The nature of the emergency on flight T3726 is not yet clear, although it is believed to stem from a technical fault.

Fire crews are at the airport, with three appliances and 14 firefighters on the scene awaiting the plane’s arrival.
