A convoy transporting eight 82ft beams, which will form part of the Aberdeen bypass, will arrive in the north-east this weekend.
The project team at the Kepplestone Overbridge will take delivery of eight 82ft beams on Sunday.
The structures will be delivered on special abnormal load trucks, and the convoy will travel north on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road and exit onto Wellington Road before entering West Tullos Road.
The vehicles will then turn right onto Great Southern Road and left onto Riverside Drive, before turning left onto Holburn Street.
The loads will subsequently come back onto the A90 at the Bridge of Dee and continue across Anderson Drive before turning left on the A96 at the Haudagain Roundabout.
They will then continue onto Inverurie Road before turning onto an unclassified road, signed Forrit Brae. The trucks will continue on Fairley Road to the site.
The deliveries will be transported during daylight for safety reasons, from about 7am to 3.30pm and are expected to cause congestion.
A Traffic Scotland spokeswoman said: “The contractor has been working closely with Police Scotland and the local authorities to minimise any inconvenience that may be caused due to beam deliveries.
“The deliveries have to take place during the day for safety reasons, but the trucks only enter the city when roads are quieter, between peak travelling periods.
“Beam deliveries are integral to the project, which will have 75 principal structures, including two river crossings and one railway bridge, and over 70 culverts, and therefore a significant number of these deliveries are expected over the next year or so.
“We would like to thank road users and the local community for their on-going support and patience during the construction work.”
