A flat fire left one man injured in Aberdeen this morning.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on the city’s George Street at 5.15am today and evacuated the building.
The road was closed between Fraser Place and Powis Place but reopened at about 8.10am.
One man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the blaze.
The nature of his injuries are not known, however they are not believed to be serious.
Police have now confirmed a joint investigation into the cause of the fire is not required.
Two fire appliances were sent from Aberdeen Central along with a heigh vehicle and a further engine from North Anderson Drive.
Police and ambulance are also on the scene.
A fire and rescue spokesman said: “We got the call at 5.15am. We sent three appliances and a height vehicle. Two of the appliances were from Central and the height vehicle was from North Anderson Drive.
“The stop message is back, it came in at 6.45am. There was one casualty.”
An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We attended, the call originated from the fire service – they asked us to attend and there was one male casualty taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
