Police, fire teams and ambulance staff are in attendance at a serious crash in Aberdeenshire this evening.
The emergency services were called to the scene of the one vehicle incident on the A93 Aberdeen to Ballater road just east of Aboyne at Aboyne Loch just before 10pm.
A fire service spokesman said that two appliances had been dispatched to the scene of the smash, along with 12 firefighters.
It is not yet known if anyone has been injured in the accident, but a police spokesman said it “looks serious.”

UPDATE: A police spokesman said that due to the severity of the incident the road will be closed for a number of hours as emergency services attend the scene.
