Police are carrying out ground searches in Aberdeen following a bomb scare and an attempted robbery.
Officers called in an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit from Edinburgh last night after a suspicious package was discovered in a property in the Sheddocksley.
The fire service and paramedics were also called to the scene at a commercial premises in Springhill Road.
A 15-year old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A police spokesman said: “On arrival police found an item located at the premises and as a result an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit from Edinburgh was requested to attend.
“They have since stood down.”
He added: “A cordon is currently in place around the immediate vicinity of the building.
“There is no immediate threat to the wider community and no requirement to evacuate any residents.”
