More than 50 firefighters spent the morning tackling a blaze at an Inverurie commercial mill.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman confirmed they had sent 55 firefighters to Lethenty Mill, with a sawmill, photography studio and repair workshop all being damaged by the flames.
Six businesses are understood to have been affected in total, including a vintage furniture store and an engineering firm.
Local fire crews attended the scene after receiving reports of the fire from around 4.50am and have remained at the property for more than six hours.
Six fire engines and another water carrier were deployed to the scene, along with two incident support units and a height vehicle.
A single-track road approaching the property was been closed and police have warned commuters in the area to expect delays in the area.
Fire services say no further resources will be called to Lethenty Mill but work is ongoing to get it under control.
No injuries have been reported.
