The incident happened in the Inverugie area, near Peterhead, at about 2.20pm. Two appliances from Peterhead, with 11 firefighters on board, were called to the scene. A vet was subsequently called and sedated the creature and the firefighters successfully maneuvered it out of the hole. The crews left the scene at about 3.10pm.
