Police officers in Peterhead recovered a haul of heroin and crack cocaine with an estimated street value of almost £35,000 yesterday.
Last night, Detective Constable Kate Coyle of the north-east division proactive unit said: “This is another significant drug seizure which is a direct result of the ongoing Operation Banook.
“This operation will continue to target all those who wish to involve themselves in drug activity and organised crime in the north-east of Scotland.
“We will continue in our efforts to make our policing area a hostile place to deal controlled drugs.”
DC Coyle appealed to members of the public to report any “suspicious activity” which may be related to drug dealing by calling 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
