Aberdeenshire Council’s returning officer for the Scottish Parliamentary elections says all is running smooth at this year’s count.
Jim Savege, chief executive of the local authority, said there has been no logistical issues across the three constituencies – Aberdeenshire East, Aberdeenshire West and the Banffshire and Buchan Coast.
The region has 135 polling places and votes coming in from as far afield as Braemar and Banff.
