Police in Aberdeen have successfully traced a man who had been missing since Friday night following an extensive search which required the use of a helicopter and lifeboats.
Search crews searched up and down the River Dee after a concerned member of the public contacted the emergency services after seeing the man, who is in his 50s, near the Salmon Bothie at around 11pm two days ago.
Two lifeboats and three coastguard teams were involved in the search.
But this morning the police confirmed the man in question has been located safe and sound.
Sergeant Emily Hesp said: “I am extremely grateful to the public and the media for their assistance with this inquiry, and of course the partners who assisted with the search.
“Thank you very much.”
